Dr. Pierre was born in Puerto Rico. He received his medical education from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and at the University of Nebraska Medical Center Family Medicine Residency program. He served as a Flight Medicine Physician in the US Air Force for many years.
After retiring from the service, Dr. Pierre worked at clinics in Omaha and Council Bluffs. In 2011, he became one of the founding physicians of the Sancta Familia Medical Apostolate in Omaha. Dr. Pierre has been the medical director for Rockbrook Urgent Care since December 2013.
Kathryn “Kate” Shanahan, an Omaha native, attended the University of Kansas, where she earned a degree in Exercise Science. She later obtained her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, graduating in 2013. Since then, Kate has dedicated her career to urgent care medicine and joined the Urgent Care Omaha team in 2018.
Vanessa Potter, PA-C obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a minor in Spanish from Hastings College. She earned a Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from UNMC in 2009. She has worked in OBGYN, Family Medicine/Pediatrics and Urgent Care. She joined Urgent Care Omaha in 2022.
Erica Estep, PA-C is a native of Texas and attended The University of Oklahoma for her undergraduate degree in Exercise and Health Sciences. She earned her Physician Assistant degree at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. She joined the Urgent Care of Omaha staff in September of 2022 but has worked in urgent care the past 7 years. She also has experience in hospital medicine and general surgery.
